Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital

Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) was established in 1954 as the first private medical university in Taiwan. Originally founded as Kaohsiung Medical College, it has long been a leading institution for training outstanding physicians and healthcare professionals.
In its early years, KMU was dedicated to medical care and tropical medicine research. As Taiwan was no longer classified as a tropical disease–endemic area, the University shifted its focus to advancing basic medical sciences and clinical research, while continuously strengthening its medical services.
Since becoming a university in 1999, KMU has further enhanced its standards in teaching, research, and healthcare service. Located in the center of Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second-largest city, KMU is a modern, forward-looking institution committed to academic excellence and medical innovation.

The Pier-2 Art Center & Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No.2 (KW2)

The Pier-2 Art Center, is a vibrant cultural and creative hub transformed from an old warehouse district. Established in 2006, it showcases contemporary art, design, and experimental exhibitions, attracting artists and visitors from around the world. The center hosts diverse cultural events, including festivals, performances, and workshops, fostering innovation and artistic exchange. With its unique blend of industrial heritage and modern creativity, the Pier-2 Art Center has become a landmark for Taiwan’s cultural and artistic development.
Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No.2 is located at Kaohsiung Port's No. 2 Pier. During the Japanese colonial period, it was a single-story warehouse with brick walls and tiled roofs. After being bombed by the Allied forces, it was rebuilt in the 50th year of the Republic of China as a reinforced concrete structure with a steel truss roof. To facilitate the movement of goods, there are no support pillars inside the warehouse. In the 92nd year of the Republic of China, it was declared a historical building by the Kaohsiung City Government. Over the decades, from sugar and goods to passengers arriving on cruise ships, Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No.2 has not only witnessed the changes in Kaohsiung Port but has also opened its arms to embrace the future of the port city.

Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum

Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a renowned cultural and religious landmark.
